OLD SCHOOL!!! I’ve never been to a restaurant that made me feel more at home, or like I was having dinner at Grandma’s house for a fancy holiday dinner. Everything I had was phenomenal and so was the service. It’s been a long time since I’ve been anywhere close to this where the customer is truly treated like family. Everything from the atmosphere right when you walk in, to the homemade pasta and complimentary sambuca and amaretto truly sets this place apart from any other restaurant. If you are in the area, you need to give this place a try!

The second you walk into Filomena, you can smell how good the food is. The bread, rigatoni, and strawberry cheesecake were absolutely delicious. The food is definitely worth the cost; I want to go back and try everything on the menu.

Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in the US. We were warmly greeted and seated within a minute. The interior made me feel that I am in a five-star Italian restaurant. Our server Fabiano was fantastic, he was polite, gave amazing recommendations and was very attentive to our table. He deserves to be recognized for his efforts. He made us feel like a million dollars. Now let’s talk about the food…we started our meal with calamari, followed with the famous gnocchi and pasta and to end our meal we tried their strawberry cheesecake. When you visit Washington D.C. on business or on leisure this place is a must visit. Prices are great and portions are big, we had enough food for dinner the following day.

Whenever we are here in town, this place is a must. Being Italian myself I don’t usually like eating Italian meals out but this place is so good. The service has always been stellar too. If you want outstanding classic Italian dishes, come here — you won’t be disappointed.

OMG…I’ve decided that this is my FAVORITE Italian in the country! The Gnocchi are like little pillows of LOVE! All the sauces are decadently delicious…but the Sunday Sauce is AMAZING!
